Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha remake will be directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, who also helmed the original film.

The Hindi remake of Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan starrer Vikram Vedha has been in the news for quite sometime. While Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are set to step into the shoes of two Kollywood actors, the latest update suggests that it will go on floors in April and will be a special project for HR as it is his 25th venture. The actor has prepped for his character for past two months and has given his own signature.

A source close to the development told PinkVilla, “Hrithik’s next is the Hindi adaptation of Vikram Vedha, to be helmed by the original director duo of Pushkar and Gayathri. He plays the character of the dreaded gangster, Vedha in the untitled Hindi thriller, and has already started the prep to bring his own flavour to the character. Right from the work on body language to the diction and look, he has been in the space of this gangster over the last two months, building his on-screen persona. Hrithik is all charged up and excited for the film. It his silver jubilee project, HR25.”

While the actor will start for this neo-noir drama, on his birthday HR announced his film with Deepika Padukone titled Fighter and wrote, “Presenting a glimpse of the MARFLIX vision as #Fighter! Looking forward to my first flight alongside the exceptional @deepikapadukone. All buckled up for this Sid Anand joyride.” He also shared a note, which reads, “It is an honour for me as an actor to introduce and be a part of Mamta and Sid Anand’s first production Fighter for Marflix! This one is special as it deepens my association with a director and a friend whose journey I have witnessed from being an AD on my sets to directing me in Bang Bang and War. And now as he turns producer for Fighter, I can’t seem to contain my excitement. This one is pure adrenaline for the heart and mind. So here goes! Boom! Thank you Sid for believing in me and making me your co-passenger yet again. Here’s to your journey towards the sky!”
