¬¬Namish Taneja has come a long way after he made his acting debut with Ekk Nayi Pehchaan as Chiraag Modi. The actor has experimented with different roles in every TV show. His previous TV show, Vidya, came to an abrupt end, due to the coronavirus pandemic, but he will soon be back in action. Namish will be seen as Ved in a new TV show called, Aye Mere Humsafar.
Aye Mere Humsafar is a story of two polar opposite people, Ved and Vidhi. While Ved is happy-go-lucky, and always exploring his options, Vidhi has her heart set on becoming an IAS officer. We got in touch with Namish for a little chat and the actor opened up on his character a bit and also revealed that he is slightly similar to Ved in real life as well. While talking to BollywoodLife.com, the Swaragini actor said that he used to be just like Ved in his initial days.
“My character’s name is Ved. When I first read the narration, they told me that Ved has no idea about what to do in life as he is confused. Yet at the same time, he is exploring by trying his hand at writing, or by becoming a singer or dancer or boxer. He also takes up cooking, so, basically, he is trying to find his mettle, what he wants to be in life. He is like ‘go with the flow,’ kind of person. He is a fun-loving, mischievous person, not hesitant to make mistakes,” Namish gushes about his character.
“He confused love with infatuation but is a very honest guy. I found him very lively. He was not like a closed character. He could do anything and be anything, he can be emotional and carefree at any given time. And I wanted to play such a character who is free-spirited just like Ved,” the actor said while talking about what he liked in the character.
On a lighter note, as we were about to ask him the similarities between Ved and Namish, the actor quipped that he is somewhat similar to Ved. When prodded further, the actor added, “I was like Ved forever. But Ever since I started working, I have changed a bit.”
“Because when you start working, you happen to interact with people twice or even thrice your age. They all are seniors and by these interactions, you tend to grow up a little. You start planning your future and gradually you mature. Yes, I have changed a bit. I may have been just like Ved had I not been as passionate about my work or had dreams to fulfill,” Namish reasons.
Talking about the show, Aye Mere Humsafar, Vidhi is being played by actress Tina Ann Philip. Other casts include Neelu Vaghela, Vaishnavi MacDonald, Urfi Javed, Hemant Thatte, Pooja Singh and Accherr Bharadwaj to name a few. Aye Mere Humsafar will premiere on 31 August 2020 at 7:00 pm.
