Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia’s appearance at Karim Morani’s birthday bash grabbed several eyeballs. While Sunny was seen wearing a black shirt and green pants, Dimple wore an all-white outfit.
The stars of the 80s, Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia, recently came under one roof to celebrate Karim Morani’s birthday. The Bollywood producer had hosted a private dinner on Sunday and only a few celebs were invited. TV actor Arjun Bijlani and filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi were seen arriving at the venue. But Sunny and Dimple’s appearance at the birthday bash grabbed several eyeballs. While Sunny was seen wearing a black shirt and green pants, Dimple wore an all-white outfit.
In the 80s, when Sunny and Dimple had set their foot in the industry, rumours of their secret affair had caught everyone’s attention. In 2017, a video of Sunny and Dimple sitting next to each other at a bus stop in London had gone viral on the internet. The two were allegedly seen holding each other’s hands. The video had made their fans wonder if the two are still together. However, these claims remained unanswered.
Last year, Sunny Deol had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He took to Twitter to share the news. “Maine corona test karwaya aur report positive aaya hai. Main ekantwaas mein hoon aur meri tabiyat theek hai. Mera anurodh hai ki aap mein se jo bhi log gat kuch dinon mein mere sampark mein aaye hain, kripya swaym ko isolate kar apni jaanch karwaye (I got myself tested for corona and my report is positive. I am in isolation and my health is fine. I request all those who came in contact with me recently to get yourself tested and stay in isolation),” he had tweeted. Later, he recovered from the virus.
Dimple was last seen in Amazon Prime Video’s controversial series Tandav. The OTT platform had recently issued an apology to anyone who felt insulted with the content of the series. In the statement, they have also specified that the objectionable scenes have either been either removed or edited.
The official statement reads, “Amazon Prime Video again deeply regrets that viewers considered certain scenes to be objectionable in the recently launched fictional series ‘Tandav’. This was never our intention, and the scenes that were objected to were removed or edited when they were brought to our attention. We respect our viewers’ diverse beliefs and apologize unconditionally to anyone who felt hurt by these scenes. Our teams follow company content evaluation processes, which we acknowledge need to be constantly updated to better serve our audiences. We will continue to develop entertaining content with partners, while complying with the laws of India and respecting the diversity of culture and beliefs of our audiences.”
