Taapsee Pannu
Rashmi Rocket actress Taapsee Pannu spoke about how she got replaced with other actors in the past. She was quoted by Filmfare saying, “I faced some really weird things in the beginning like she isn’t pretty enough. I’ve been replaced because the hero’s wife didn’t want me to be part of the film. I was dubbing for one of my films and I was told that the hero didn’t like my dialogue so I should change it. When I refused to change it, they got a dubbing artiste to do it behind my back. There was a time when I was told the hero’s previous film didn’t work, so you slash your price because we need to control the budget. There was some hero who wanted my introduction scene changed because he felt it would overpower his introduction scene. These are the things that have happened in front of me, I don’t know what’s happened behind my back.”

Shraddha Kapoor
Actress Shraddha Kapoor was all set to play the role of Saina Nehwal in her biopic but due to the date issues, she was replaced by Parineeti Chopra.
Divya Dutta
Actress Divya Dutta spoke about getting replaced in many films. She said, “It used to feel like a huge sense of loss, coming and being rejected or being told on the phone that someone else has been roped in. I’ve been dropped out of many movies at the last minute so that hurts because you feel sheer helplessness because you know how good you could’ve been in that role. But what I noticed was that I have a very strong family. My mother used to ask ‘Why are you upset?’ then I would say, mom, ‘I’ve been thrown out of the film, why? I don’t know.’ So she says ‘Does that stop your life? Life never stops and tomorrow’s another day.’ In fact, it’s strange that the people, who have dropped me, I have worked with them a few years later with better roles.”
