Dashing yet deadly
Sanjay Dutt has always been the dashing, macho hero on screen, but owing to his talent, aura and larger-than-life persona, the handsome hunk has always managed to also pull off some of the deadliest looks in Indian cinema with aplomb. So, on Sanjay Dutt’s birthday, we’ve decided to revisit his five deadliest looks ranging from heydays in Khalnayak and Kartoos to his Musafir look during his comeback phase and right down to his character-driven phase in Agneepath and KGF 2. Relive them below:
Ballu in Khal Nayak (1993)
The first time Sanjay Dutt went bad was as Ballu in Khal Nayak, resulting in a superhit that has stood the test of time.
Raja in Kartoos (1999)
Sanju Baba was initially seen as deadly criminal Raja in Kartoos before Jackie Shroff gave him a new lease as Jeet Balraj.
Billa in Musafir (2004)
Riding high on the success of Kaante, Munna Bhai MBBS and Plan, Sanjay Dutt tried his hand at another deadly avatar in Musafir. Unfortunately, though Billa was loved, Musafir tanked at the box office.
Kancha Cheena in Agneepath (2012)
Playing his first and only out-an-out bad guy with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, Sanju’s character of Kancha Cheena became as big a rage with the audience as Agneepath, the film, itself was.
Adheera in KGF 2 (2021)
KGF: Chapter 2 may not have released it, but we’re not willing to take the bet that Sanjay Dutt’s Adheera isn’t going to be another deadly hit with movie-buffs.
