From their final 2005 performance to their epic 2013 Super Bowl reunion, take a look back at some of Destiny’s Child’s biggest moments.
Destiny’s Child Then & Now
Destiny’s Child was an incredibly popular girl group that formed in 1998, releasing their first studio album, The Writing’s On The Wall, in 1999. After two original members departed the band in 2000, Michelle Williams came along to form the Destiny’s Child we know and love, with Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland. The group wound up splitting in 2006, but not before taking over the airways with major hits like “Survivor” and “Bootylicious”. They’ve reunited several times since their split, much to the delight of fans.
Destiny’s Child goes into full Charlie’s Angel mode while singing their hit “Independent Women” during Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show. The song was made for the 2000 film, and became one of their biggest songs of all time. Beyonce staged a reunion during Super Bowl XLVII, in 2013, and the crowd went wild.
