Before fans could watch Radhe, ‘Shah Rukh Khan’s new film is all set to release a week prior to Salman Khan’s action starrer. However, there’s a catch.
Salman Khan recently announced that his much-awaited Eid 2021 release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will see a pay-per-view release in the digital space along with its theatrical release on May 13. The film is scheduled to open theatrically across all Indian states where theatres are operational as per Covid protocols, and will be available on the premium pay-per-view service platform Zeeplex. But before fans could watch Radhe, ‘Shah Rukh Khan’s new film is all set to release a week prior to Salman’s action starrer. However, there’s a catch.
Prashant Walde, who has been working as Shah Rukh Khan’s body double for the past 15 years, is currently gearing up for the release of his first film Premaatur on May 7. The movie also features Heta Shah, Kalyani Kumari, Sriraj Singh, Amit Sinha, Veer Singh, and Bindhya Kumari, and the film is directed by Sumit Sagar.
Besides acting, Prashant has written the story, screenplay and dialogues, and also produced the film, which is co-produced by Shantanu Ghosh, Satya and Praveen Walde. Premaatur is pitched as a thriller, horror and romantic drama, and Prashant has dedicated the film to SRK.
Prashant, who hails from Nagpur, has worked with Shah Rukh Khan as his body double in films such as Om Shanti Om, Don, Chennai Express, Dear Zindagi, Raees, and Fan amongst others.
Like others, Prashant too struggled through the lockdown but he took it as an opportunity to take a giant leap in his career by turning into a filmmaker. He has entered the showbiz as a choreographer and used to work in Bollywood as SRK’s lookalike. He had also turned his focus on becoming a mimicry artiste. A couple of years ago, he had flown to Dubai to work as SRK’s doppelganger at a Bollywood theme park. Due to lockdown, he lost his job and returned to India last year.
